| The clinical laboratory center is one of the important department in our hospital, which is in charge of the assay of clinic, emergency, wards and other laboratories involved in medicine therapy, research and teaching .
Today the clinical laboratory center has five professional groups, that is, clinical laboratory, biochemistry, immunoassay, bacteria assay and special test, and 39 of staff including two professors, one associate professor, nineteen staff with middle-level professional title and fourteen staff with primary-level professional title, among them, two with master degrees and one studying at master degree.
Currently all instruments & equipments in the center possess famous international brands, which guarantee the quality of assay in accuracy and reliability. for example, advanced American Beckman Coulter-DXC800, LX-20 automatic biochemistry analyzer, CX3 electrolyte analyzer, France STAGO- COMPACT & STA automatic hemagglutinin analysator etc.
Total items are beyond 120 items, and 30 items of those are in characteristics of cardiovascular disease. In 1994, we firstly began to monitor INR related to extrinsic coagulation system, which is used to monitor thrombosis risk of patients with rheumatic heart disease after valves replacement operation. In 1998, we early started assay of myocardial infarction markers including myoglobin, CK-MB mass and troponin I in the country. In 2004, we developed some new items to assistant heart transplant and left ventricle adjunctive therapy in our hospital, such as, HLA tissue matching, anti-population response antibody, cross-match, free hemoglobin detection, etc.
Recently, we set up new developing diagnostic items and risk hierarchical items of cardiovascular disease, eg, Lp(a), Hs-CRP, NT-proBNP, endothelin, D-dimer, etc. Our reports provide clinical doctors with scientific evidences so that they can perform timely diagnosis, therapeutic effect monitor and evaluation of prognosis. All assay results can be passed to HIS system by way of LIS system so that clinical doctors and patients can look up them quickly and expediently. We perform every assay with international recommended techniques and methods, and take strict to keep the accuracy and reliability of the results. internal quality control (IQC) and external quality assessment (EQA).
Recently Our center participated in IQC real time monitor of Beijing Municipal Health Bureau and EQA inspection monthly of Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China later. The center was admitted to general assay laboratory of assay reports of Beijing third class hospital in June, 2006.
The laboratory medicine has transmitted from medicine laboratory, and gradually becomes an independent discipline. With the new findings of detection indications, incessant adoption of new assay technique and approaches, use of advanced instrument & equipment analyzer, our work will has more and more contents of science & technology, which may bring more contributions to diagnosis, treatment, prevention and pathogenetic investigation of disease, etc. The staffs in the center will strive to provide clinical doctors and patients with more rapid, economic and satisfied service of human nature characteristics. |
