The emergency center mainly undertakes the diagnosis and treatment for the patients with various acute and critical cardiovascular diseases including acute myocardial infarction, serious heart failure, serious respiratory failure, critical hypertension and serious arrhythmia etc.

 

The emergency center comprises an emergency department and intensive care unit (ICU) with a staff of 4 professors , 4 associate professors and several postgraduate and PhD candidates. It accepts more than 200 cases for doctors with high qualifications for advanced training annually.

 

The emergency and ICU rooms are equipped with various advanced rescue devices. The emergency department accepts about 15,000 cases and rescues 3800 cases annually with nearly 98% rate of success; and ICU accepts about 500 cases annually with nearly 83% rate of success.

 

The center is currently participating in the international cooperation program.
